All dogs deserve a home

GET K9 Training partners with Pepper’s Pals Rescue, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to foster and train behavioral case pups that need a little extra TLC before they go on to their forever home.

partner

We work with a local nonprofit 501(c)(3) rescue who takes in strays, shelter transfers, and all breeds. Dogs in need of behavioral care come here!

rehab

Many rescue dogs lack training and often carry unaddressed trauma. We help foster dogs decompress, learn new skills, and succeed in daily life.

rehome

All dogs deserve a loving home! Our goal is to transform foster pups into awesome companions. Sometimes all it takes is patience and persistence.

rescue dog training

This loving boy was rescued from euthanasia at the last minute. And to this day, we can’t figure out why he was going to be put down because he is the happiest boy who loves people and dogs (both big and small). He walks great on the leash with a confident owner and would love to go on hikes or on road-trip adventures. Frisco needs an experienced dog owner who is committed to training and advocating for him. Speaking of play, retrieving the tennis ball and tug-of-war are two of his favorite games! After a slow meeting, Frisco will be your best friend!

Panam - Cane Corso - adopted!

Surrendered to a local mastiff rescue along with her littermates, Panam was brought to me to help give her the best foundation while waiting for her forever home. Panam was adopted by a family who lives on a farm, so she’ll spend her days protecting acres of land!

While she isn’t a high-energy dog, Nikki LOVES to be outdoors! If you want a do-it-all hiking buddy, Nikki would love to accompany you. She doesn’t pull on the leash, and calmly walks past runners, bikers, and other dogs on the trails. Nikki found her forever home in Oregon where she spends her days hiking the beautiful trails with her active mom!

Trixie - Papillon Mix - adopted!

This cute girl is super adorable, but don’t be fooled… Trixie has a naughty side to her. Having experienced a lot of trauma in her early life, she has learned to be defensive in order to alleviate uncomfortable/unwarranted attention. Trixie was adopted by an experienced Papillon owner and lives happily with three other dog friends on a horse ranch!

Percy - Dachshund Mix - adopted!

Percy is a bit distrusting of humans. Having lived life on the streets for several years, he has no concept of living indoors (things like tile flooring scare him). Guys like him just need patience, guidance, and time. His adopted home has a feisty Chi sister, some cool cat brothers, and all the toys he could ever hope to play with.

Venom - Belgian malinois - adopted!

This amazing dog was rescued last year from a neglect situation. His owner was hospitalized and the person who was supposed to be caring for the animals all but abandoned them. After his owner passed, Venom came here due to his high enrichment needs. He was adopted by a loving family in Texas!

Libby - Deaf Boxer Mix - adopted!

Picked up as a stray in an industrial area, this sweet girl had no concept of what indoor life is like. everything from the TV to the washer to even human movements and gestures were all foreign to her. After learning sign language, Libby (now Riplee) was adopted by one of my clients and lives with her pit bull sister Rhea.

Priscilla - Chihuahua Mix - adopted!

Prissy is silly and playful, and brings so much joy into the home. She is a well-behaved 11 month old who cuddles perfectly in your lap and gives the best kisses. She was adopted by a family and now has two other chihuahua mix sisters that she gets to play with!

Teddy - Skye terrier mix - adopted!

Teddy has confidence and trust issues and needs someone who can provide patience, guidance, and leadership. This sensitive boy has lacked a permanent home for so long, and he takes time to realize that he’s in a safe space. He was adopted by a lovely couple in Payson!

Apollo - Siberian Husky - adopted!

Apollo’s story is long and confusing: the short of it is that he has lived in different homes all his life and was stolen at least twice (yes – TWICE!). From a budding career as a service dog to life as a stud dog, Apollo has had many roles. He isn’t the biggest fan of other dogs, which is totally fine with his adopted dad!

Howie - Pit Bull Mix - adopted!

This sweet boy was pulled from County with some severe skin issues. We worked with his foster mom to teach him proper manners at the doorway and on the walk. He ended up being a foster fail and now lives happily with his mom and pit bull sister!

Lux - australian cattle dog - adopted!

He is a one year old cattle dog that loves the water and to be a part of whatever you’re up to. He gets along with dogs of all sizes and enjoys having a job. Lux passed his herding instinct test with Jenzi, and was adopted by a family who lives on a farm in Ohio. He now lives up to his breed name and herds cattle on the farm.

max - cane corso - adopted!

Max is a 1 year old Italian Mastiff. If you’re a molosser fan, you are going to love this guy. He is nothing but a “giant” sweetheart, and enjoys spending time with his people. He was adopted by a family with two kids who are his biggest fans!
